ccr1966175RESOLUTION #175 DENYING THE REQUEST OF HALES CORNERS SAND E GRAVEL FOR A CONDITIONAL USE TO OPERATE A GRAVEL PIT City of Muskego for a Conditional Use which would permit them Whereas, Hales Corners Sand E Gravel Company has petitioned the to extract minerals on lands known as the Ernst Bluhm Farm in the SEk, Section 12. Whereas, the City Plan Commission has recommended that the Conditional Use Request be denied for the following reasons 1. That the extractive operation would remove the remaining buildable Bluhm land for future industrial development. 2. The proposed Milwaukee-Waukesha by-pass route plus the relocation of Durham Road would require a considerable portion of the west side of the proposed area. e 3. In view of the possible damage to McShane Road, which is the only access to this property, which was recently rebuilt at considerable City expense. Y. The degree and effect of dust and noise as a result of the proposed operation. 5. The Commission felt that the neighborhood was very nearly A-2 of the Zoning Ordinance: “That there be no more than 30 at the 30 family limit as set forth in Section 6.07 (8) families residing within a half-mile radius of the center of the proposed site. Therefore, Be It Resolved that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby concurr with the recommendations of the Muskego Plan Commission relating to the Conditional Use Request of Hales Corners Sand E Gravel Company as set forth in their meeting held on July 19, 1966.
