RESOLUTION #242-2007
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE USE OF
I-STREAM CHECK PROCESSING FOR DEPOSITS
BY THE CITY'S RESCUE BilLING SERVICE,
NATIONAL EMS, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego currently uses National EMS, Inc. for rescue
billing services; and
WHEREAS, National EMS Inc. has requested that the City authorize them to use
I-Stream for a more efficient way of processing rescue bill payments for deposit; and
WHEREAS, this electronic processing of deposits is a cost saving measure for
National EMS, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve
the use of I-Stream by National EMS, Inc. for depositing rescue bill payments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the
letter of agreement from National EMS, Inc. for this service

We are very excited about our new contract with "ISTREAM". This company
works under FDIC and banking commission rules.
We have explored and decided on this company for a more efficient way to do
bank deposits for your community.
This means that all checks will be scanned into your bank account. This will
allow us (NEB, INC) to make sure that the postal service does not misplace any
check for the accounts that were mailed.
The protocol that has been set forth for each one of our client's will remain the
same.
The cost is all absorbed by National EMS Billing, Inc.
. Please let us know if we can go ahead with this program for your community by
filling out the bottom portion and returning this to us in the enclosed envelope.

Request from National EMS to use I-Stream for processing bank deposits

Background Information:
The City has contracted with National EMS for rescue billing service since 2005. National
EMS has asked the City to allow them to use I-Stream for processing of bank deposits. 1-
Stream is a software product that allows checks to be scanned and then deposited into an
account versus taking the checks to the bank for deposit.
Key Issues for Consideration (Maximum of 5):
1. There is no additional cost for this service to the City of Muskego.
2. This will help National EMS keep their costs down by processing deposits more efficiently.
Recommendation for Action by Committee and/or Council: Approve the letter of
agreement to allow National EMS to use I-Stream for processing rescue payments for the City
of Muskego.
