AWARD OF BID
Moorland Park Grading Project
WHEREAS, The City advertised for bids for the Moorland Park Grading Project and the
following bids were received:

ADVANCE CONSTRUCTION $ 115,512.00
WHEREAS, The City's consulting engineer, Bonestroo, Inc., has reviewed the bids and
recommends the bid submitted by Advance Construction in the amount of $115,512 be
accepted for the Moorland Park Grading Project; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the bids and recommends the bid
submitted by Advance Construction be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby accept
the bid of Advance Construction in the total amount of $115,512 for the Moorland Park
Grading Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer are hereby
authorized to sign the necessary documents in the name of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor or his designee are authorized to sign
any changes at his discretion upon recommendation of the City Engineer.

Re: Approval of Moorland Park Grading Project Bid
.
The Moorland Park grading project is a project that has been planned for a number of
years. The current park environment is not aesthetically pleasing and is in dire need of
grading to make this park more usable to the public. The current grading project includes
two soccer fields and space for a future playground, shelter, volleyball courts, and
possible expansion for the skateboard park area. This project will be completed this year
with dormant seeding and grass over seeding and fertilization done in spring of 2008.
The Parks and Recreation Board is recommending for approval Advance Construction to
perform the work of grading Moorland Park at a bid amount of $115,512. This project
was bid out by Bonestroo from September 27-0ctober 15. Received were 8 bids.
Attached, please find the A ward Recommendation Letter from Bonestroo, for this
project.
Park dedication monies were not specifically budgeted for this project, this year.
However, when the 2008-2012 parks projects were reviewed as part of the Capital
Budget process in September, this project was included as a project to be completed in
2007, at a price of$150,000, to provide an accurate starting park dedication account
balance for the 2008-2012 parks proj ects.
This award of bid requires Common Council approval.
This expenditure of $115,512 would be paid for out of the park dedication account
(202.08.94.74.6586). Thank you for your consideration.
