COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO RESOLUTION #196-2007 REJECTION OF BIDS Hillside Drainage Improvement Project WHEREAS, The City advertised for bìds for the Hillside Drive Drainage Improvement Project and the following bids were received: Payne & Dolan Black Diamond Group, Inc. Dodge Construction Co., Inc. $61,425.00 $77,714.50 $102,583.68 WHEREAS, The bids received exceeded the amount budgeted for the project; and WHEREAS, The Public Works Committee has recommended that all bids for the project be rejected. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby reject all bids submitted for the Hillside Drainage Improvement Project because the bids received exceeded the budgeted amount. Dodge Construction Co, Inc. $61,425.00 $77,714.50 $102,583.68 The budget for this project is $40,000. The Public Works Committee considered the bids at their September 26, 2007 meeting and decided to hold a special assessment public hearing in the future for all costs over and above the $40,000 budget. Recommendation for Action by Common Council: The Public Works Committee at their September 26,2007 meeting recommended that the Common Council reject bids received for the Hillside Drive Drainage Improvement Project because the bids are over the budget.
