COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #181-2007
RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT THE CREATION OF THE
MUSKEGO TASK FORCE ON PUBLIC SAFETY EDUCATION, INC.
WHEREAS, It is the intent of several members of the Muskego Police Department to
create a Task Force to promote community awareness of public safety issues through a
variety of programs, projects and special events; and
WHEREAS, The Muskego Task Force on Public Safety Education, Inc. would be
created as a wholly volunteer, non-profit organization drawing its support from people
who reside, work or attend school in the City of Muskego; and
WHEREAS, As a separate corporate entity, the Task Force would rely on fundraising
efforts and the use of court costs associated with juvenile citations as allowed under
Wisconsin Act 28; and
WHEREAS, The participation of the fire departments, school district, student
representatives, members of neighborhood watches and local business leaders would
be pursued.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby support the creation of The Muskego Task Force on Public
Safety Education, Inc. with the understanding that this would be a citizen based
organization independent of the direction of the City and the Muskego Police
Department.
