APPROVAL OF A REVISED MASTER SIGN PROGRAM FOR THE LAKEWOOD COMMERCIAL CENTER AND REVISED SIGNAGE FOR G AND G POWER SPORTS LOCATED IN THE SE ¼ OF SECTION 8 (RACINE AVENUE / TAX KEY
NO. 2192.084.001)
WHEREAS, On July 29, 2008, a request for revising signage to G and G Power Sports and to revise the master Sign Program for the Lakewood Commercial Center was submitted by the Lakewood
Commercial Center tenants for the properties located in the SE ¼ of Section 8 (Racine Avenue / Tax Key No. 2192.084.001), and
WHEREAS, The Master Sign Plan revision for the Lakewood Commercial Center is to allow the colors of the channel letter wall signs to be red, white, or blue, and
WHEREAS, The previous Sign Plan only allowed the color blue, and
WHEREAS, G and G Power Sports is also requesting to replace the “G and G Power Sports” sign that is on the southeast corner of the building and replace it with a smaller red channel
letter “Kawasaki” sign, and
WHEREAS, The “G and G Power Sports” sign would then be moved to the west facing façade, and
WHEREAS, All the signage will meet the City’s square footage requirements.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of the request for revising signage to G and G Power Sports and to revise the master Sign Program for the Lakewood Commercial
Center as submitted by the Lakewood Commercial Center tenants for the properties located in the SE ¼ of Section 8 (Racine Avenue / Tax Key No. 2192.084.001).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sign plans are approved as submitted and a copy of said plans are kept on file in the Building Department and that all aspects of this plan shall be
maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action,
or both.
