COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #098-2007
. APPROVAL OF SALARY RANGES FOR
NON-REPRESENTED POLICE DEPARTMENT POSITIONS
WHEREAS, The Common Council directed that the salary ranges for non-represented
positions in the Police Department be reviewed; and
WHEREAS, The Administration has recommended that the midpoint and maximum of
the salary ranges be lowered to address the Council's concerns; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the salary ranges for non-
represented Police Department Positions and has determined it appropriate to use a
salary competitiveness policy that sets the midpoint of the salary range at 100%
(instead of the current 105%) of estimated prevailing rates and based on that is
recommending that the midpoints and maximums of the salary ranges be reduced by
5% resulting in the following salary ranges for non-represented police department
positions effective December 31,2006.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby accept the recommendation of the Finance Committee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a spot check of other non-represented
employee position salaries must be completed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That these changes shall not affect any merit pay
calculations done for 2006 performance.
