COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #021-2007
RE-CREATION OF COMMITTEE
MAYOR'S TASK FORCE ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, Section 2.09(4) of the Municipal Code outlines that the Mayor may appoint
special committees as he may deem advisable, and
WHEREAS, The Mayor's Task Force on Economic Development concluded with a
Strategic Plan in 2003, and
WHEREAS, The Mayor desires to re-commission the Task Force to assist staff in the
implementation of the goals of this plan, and
WHEREAS, Staff support to the Task Force will be provided by the Planning
Department, and
WHEREAS, The Task Force shall act as the liaison between the City and the City's
business community by making recommendations to the standing committees of the
Common Council for furthering the economic development, business retention, and
redevelopment goals of the community.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby determine that the Mayor's Task Force on Economic
Development shall be a special committee of the Mayor pursuant to Section 2.09(4) of
the Municipal Code, and its composition and duties shall be as follows:
o The Task Force shall consist of a minimum of five (5) members, and a maximum of
seven (7) members, one (1) of whom shall be an alderman. three (3) of the
nonaldermanic members must be citizens.
D Appointment shall be made by the Mayor and members shall serve at the discretion
of the Mayor, and
o The Task Force shall select a Chairman and Vice-chairman from among its
members, and shall have duties as shall be assigned by the Task Force, and
o Attendance of a simple majority of the members of the Task Force shall be
necessary for a quorum, and
o The Task Force shall adopt such rules of procedure as it deems necessary for the
conduct of its proceedings.
