RESOLUTION #P.C. 032-2008
APPROVAL OF AN AMENDED BUILDING, SITE, AND OPERATION PLAN FOR A TEMPORARY EVENT FOR CALLEN CONSTRUCTION LOCATED AT S63 W13131 JANESVILLE ROAD (TAX KEY NO. 2161.994)
WHEREAS, On February 18, 2008, a request for a temporary event to be held at the Callen Construction property was received at S63 W13131 Janesville Road, and
WHEREAS, The petitioner proposes to host two events from July 11-12th, 2008 on their property, and
WHEREAS, Plan Commission approval is required for events lasting more than a day to ensure adequate facilities (mainly access, parking, and bathroom facilities) are found, and
WHEREAS, The two events planned are as follows:
Friday July 11th, 2008
-100-125 guests for a Fashion/Product Showcase for Common Ground Ministry, a 501C-3 charity in Wauwatosa.
-Silent auction, food and a big band music quartet will be featured
-Alcohol will be served
-Begins at 5:30 PM ending at 9:00 PM
Saturday July 12th, 2008
-200-250 guests for an annual company picnic and Summer festival for customers.
-Games, food, and a band will be involved
-Alcohol will be served
-Begins at Noon, ending at 6:00 PM
WHEREAS, The current property owner’s approval has been received, and
WHEREAS, Hales Corners Lutheran Church has given their approvals to allow the parking of vehicles in their lot during the events and Callen Construction will have a shuttle service
to the church lot during the events, and
WHEREAS, No parking will be found on site as the area will be taken up by two event tents (one at 45’x30’ and another at 60’x40’).
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves the temporary event at the Callen Construction property subject to the following conditions:
1. No parking is allowed along Janesville Road.
2. Finance Committee approvals are required before any alcoholic beverages are allowed on the site.
