A RESOLUTION SUPPORTINIG AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE
CITY OF MUSKE.GO AND THE WISCONSIN STATE ELECTIONS BOARD
REGARDING USE OF THE STATEliIVl[)l: 'lOTER REGISTRATION SYSTEM
WHEREAS, Congress passed the Help A.merica Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA) to create a
more uniform voter registration and votin~J system in the United States; and
WHEREAS, The Wisconsin State Elections Board (SEB) is charged with implementing
a Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS) that complies with HAV A; and
WHEREAS, Local units of government understand their obligations and commitments
as mandated by HAVA and state statutes to administer, implement and maintain local
voter registration information within a centralilz.ed SVHS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego directs the City Clerk-Treasurer to enter into agreements stating the
municipality's intention jto follow the technology, security, maintenance, support, and
process guidelines developed by the State EIE~ctions Board relating to use of the
Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a copy of thiB Resolution will be sent to the State
Elections Board.
