COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #080-2006
AUTHORIZING CANCELLATION OF CERTAIN
UNCOLLECTIBLE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
(RESCUE)
WHEREAS, There are certain uncollectible accounts for monies due the City as a result
of providing rescue service; and
WHEREAS, Certain accounts involve persons who are on Medical Assistance which are
only partially paid through State and Federal agencies and the law provides that any
unpaid balances are not permitted to be collected from such persons; and
WHEREAS, Certain accounts are uncollectible due to no assets, inability to locate,
deceased, or no estate; and
WHEREAS, The lFinance Committee has recommended canceling the balances due in
the amounts of $31 ,331.01 (Medicare/Medicaid and Others) and $2,074.75 (Waukesha
County Collection Division).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby authorize
the Clerk-Treasurer to cancel the uncollectible amount of $31 ,331.01 due the City
resulting from rescue services provided to Medicare/Medicaid and other recipients and
the uncollectible amount of $2,074.75 due the City resulting from rescue services
provided to persons from whom the collection agency has been unable to collect.
