COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MCSKEGO
RESOLUTION #003-2006
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES FOR
COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
Whereas, Section 2.09 of the City of Muskego Municipal Code provides for the Mayor to declare
the Common Council a Committee of the Whole for informal discussion of the Councilor for
any other purpose, and;
Whereas, Section 2.09 also provides that the Mayor shall ex officio be Chairperson of the
Committee of the Whole, and;
Whereas, Section 2.09 states that attendance oftìve (5) members of the Committee shall be
necessary for a quorum, and;
Whereas, the Common Council d'~sires to establish guidelines tèlr setting the agenda and for
scheduling of Committee of the Whole meetings,
Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, the following steps shall be followed for placing items on the
Committee ofthe Whole agenda and for scheduling meetings ofthe Committee of the Whole:
1. Common Council members may request placement of items on the Committee of the
Whole agenda by submitting a written request to the City Administrator stating the
specific agenda item to be placed on the agenda, the date the request has been made and
their name.
2. The City Administrator shall place the requested items on a list for Committee of the
Whole agenda in the order they are received.
3. Once tour (4) agenda items have been requested, the City Administrator shall inform the
Mayor and the Mayor will call a Committee of the Whole meeting.
4. Committee of the Whole meetings shall be held at most once a month with the exception
of Committee of the Whole meetings scheduled for budget work in accordance with
Section 3.05 (3) of the Municipal Code.
