CCR2005239. . COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO RESOLUTION #239-2005 RESOLUTION TO ADOPT A PROCEDURE THAT ALLOWS FOR USE OF A CONSENT AGENDA WHEREAS, It is the desire of the Common Council to adopt a procedure that allows for use of a consent agenda for regular Common Council meetings in order to make efficient use of meeting time; and WHEREAS, The City Clerk may create a subsection on any regular Common Council agenda entitled, "Consent Agenda"; and WHEREAS, The following procedure shall apply when a consent agenda is used: 1. No separate discussion or debate may be permitted on any matter listed on the consent agend~. 2. A single motion, seconded and adopted by a majority vote of all members of the Council present shall be required to approve, adopt, enact or otherwise favorably resolve all matters listed on the consent agenda. 3. Any alderman may request removal of any item or part of an item included in the consent agenda. At the time the consent agenda is considered, that item, as requested by the alderman, shall not be approved without debate or vote.. 4. If an item or any part of the item has been removed from the consent agenda in accordance with this rule, the Council shall consider that item at an appropriate time during the Council's regular order of business. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby adopt the following procedure that allows for use of a consent agenda. DATED THIS 13th December , 2005.
