RESOLUTION #209-2005
ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL FOR RESCUE BilLING
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego requested proposals for ambulance billing
services for rescue services provided by the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire
Department.
WHEREAS, Proposals were received from National EMS Inc., Ebix Inc., and
EMS Medical Billing Associates Inc. Review of the three proposals resulted in a
recommendation from staff and the Finance Committee to approve billing
services provided by National EMS Inc.
WHEREAS, The criteria used to come to this decision were based on the
following: Customer service, cost to the City, existing municipal customer base,
additional services such as report training for EMS volunteers and
recommendations for ambulance service charges at no additional cost to the
City, and familiarity with Zoll software that will be used by the Tess Corners
Volunteer Fire Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. That the Common Council of the City
of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, directs the
City staff to prepare a service agreement for ambulance billing services with
National EMS Inc.
