COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #032-2005
RECOGNITION OF 35 YEARS OF SERVICE
JOHN R. JOHNSON
WHEREAS, JOHN JOHNSON, Chief of Police, recently reached his 35th year of
continuous employment with the City of Muskego, starting as a patrol officer on February
16, 1970; and
WHEREAS, JOHN JOHNSON received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marquette
University; and
WHEREAS, JOHN JOHNSON was promoted to the position of Sergeant on April 22,
1974; and
WHEREAS, JOHN JOHNSON became the SWAT Team Leader in 1976; and
WHEREAS, On June 16, 1978, JOHN JOHNSON graduated from the 113th Session of
the FBI National Academy; and
WHEREAS, JOHN JOHNSON, has been a Firearms Instructor at Waukesha County
Technical College; and
WHEREAS, On December 12,1981, JOHN JOHNSON was promoted to Lieutenant; and
WHEREAS, JOHN JOHNSON was appointed to the position of Chief of Police on May 15,
1985; and
WHEREAS, Over the past 35 years JOHN JOHNSON has served the City of Muskego
with distinction, always being aware of his obligations to the citizens, as well as to the
Mayor and Aldermen exemplifying the meaning of a dedicated and loyal employee; and
WHEREAS, The Common Council would like to recognize the 35 years that JOHN
JOHNSON has conscientiously worked for the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby recognize, appreciate, and publicly thank JOHN R. JOHNSON for
his faithful dedication and exemplary performance to the City of Muskego and for the fine
example he has set as a public servant over the past 35 years.
