COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #200-2004
APPROVE NEW POSITIONS AND POSITION CHANGES
WHEREAS, The 2005 City operating budget was approved with the following new positions and
position changes:
PLANNING
Add Planning Intern
(Part time 1040 hours)
Authorized Hire Date 1/1/05
Rate
$10
(2005 Hourly Rate)
POLICE
2 additional Patrol Officers
(Full time)
Authorized Hire Date 3/1/05
Rate
$1,693.43
(2005 Bi-Weekly Starting Rate)
Elimination of 1 Detective Position
WHEREAS, The 2005 budget includes approximately $33,000 in the Building Department,
which covers a Building Inspector position for six months; and
WHEREAS, The Common Council requested that the Public Works Committee have oversight
in the establishment of necessary staffing levels for the Building Inspection Department and
make recommendation to the Finance Committee if a fulltime position is warranted or if the
workload can be handled with outside services; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the above and has recommended approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve the new positions
and position changes for 2005 as described above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That prior to creating a new Building Inspector position, the
Public Works Committee and the Finance Committee will review for final recommendation to
the Common Council.
