APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO PERSONNEL CODE FOR
MANAGEMENT AND OTHER NON REPRESENTED EMPLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO
(Health Insurance Co-Payment)
WHEREAS, Resolution #274-2003 was adopted on December 9,2003 and amended Article
XVII- (Insurance) of the Personnel Code for Management and Other Nonrepresented
Employees of the City of Muskego to incorporate an employee contribution of 5% of the
premium for health insurance based on single, limited family or family coverage effective
January 1, 2004; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee, based upon the settlement agreement for the
represented Police personnel, has recommended that the non represented employees
contribute 5% of the premium for health insurance up to a cap of $64 per month for full family,
$48 per month for limited family, and $32 per month for single coverage effective October 1,
2004; and
WHEREAS, Article XVII - (Insurance) of the Personnel Code for Management and Other
Nonrepresented Employees of the City of Muskego will have to be amended to reflect the
change in employee contributions to the health insurance; and
WHEREAS, The nonrepresented employees have been contributing 5% of the insurance
premium per month since January 1, 2004 with no cap; and

WHEREAS, The Finance Committee recommends that a refund be issued to the affected
non represented employees for contributions for health insurance that were made, in excess of
the original $5 and $10 co-payments, between January 1, 2004 and October 1, 2004
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby amend the Personnel Code
for Management and Other Nonrepresented Employees of the City of Muskego to reflect the
change for health insurance co-payment
THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That The Common Coùncil of the City of
Muskego authorizes the refund of insurance contributions made by nonrepresented employees
as stated above.
