RESOLUTION #140-2004
AUTHORIZE EXPENDITURE OF JANESVILLE ROAD CULVERT
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego wishes to maximize the economic use of the Janesville Road
Corridor also referred to as Redevelopment Area # 1; and
WHEREAS, Waukesha County relocated the drainage channel to the West of Tess Corners
Drive on Janesville Road, but in the process decided to terminate the new box culvert at the edge
of the right-of-way rather than continuing it to the north of the culvert as it previously existed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council ofthe City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, that an expenditure of $60,746.04, plus a
5% contingency is approved for the purchase, installation, and required DNR permit for an 8' by
10' box culvert to be located at the Tess Corners Creek on Janesville Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the expenses for this project are eligible for inclusion in
Tax Incremental District #9 subject to availability of funds from the original borrowing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funding for this project is approved contingent upon the
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources approving and providing a permit or letter to the
City of Muskego stating approval.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the project is subject to Agreement of the propeliy owners.
