APPOINTMENT OF AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
OF 1990 (ADA)
COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR
WHEREAS, The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted in 1990 to prohibit
all state and local governments and some private businesses from discriminating on the
basis of disability; and
WHEREAS, The Title II regulations issued by the U.S. Department of Justice require
that all public entities with fifty of more employees must designate at least one
employee as the ADA Compliance Coordinator to oversee the planning, training, and
implementation of compliance activities; and
WHEREAS, The City's current ADA Compliance Coordinator is Jean K. Marenda who
will be retiring in April of 2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby designate
Sean McMullen as the ADA Compliance Coordinator.
