COMMON COUNCIL. CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #182-2003
RESOLUTION FOR GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM MOBILITY
GRANT APPLICATION 2003 - 2004
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego has invested in a Geographic Information System
utilizing ESRI, Inc. products and support; and
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego Planning Department has performed Needs
Assessments of the various City Departments to determine individual user needs and
provide a framework for supporting each department's GIS implementation; and
WHEREAS, A component of the Needs Assessment includes GIS mobility, allowing
certain departments to access spatial data from field locations; and
WHEREAS, ESRI, Inc. in partnership with Trimble Global Positioning Systems is
offering grants to state and local governments to aid in the development and
implementation of Mobile GIS systems, and said grants do not require matching fund
commitments by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the City of Muskego hereby authorizes
the Planning Director to act on behalf of the City to submit an application to ESRI Inc.
for any financial aid that may be available; sign documents; and take necessary actions
to undertake, direct and complete the approved project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That in the event of award, the Planning Department
shall comply with rules for the programs, including performance reporting.
