COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #051-2003
SITING RESOLUTION
PROPOSED EXPANSION OF
METRO RECYCLING AND DISPOSAL FACILITY
(Waste Management of Wisconsin, Inc.)
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego has been notified by certified mail, return receipt requested,
by applicant, Waste Management of Wisconsin, Inc. as to a proposed expansion of a waste
facility site in the City of Franklin. Said notification was dated February 28, 2003 and received
by the City on March 3, 2003; and
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego has been notified in the above manner, pursuant to Wisconsin
Statutes 9289.22 (1m), seeking application for local approvals from affected municipalities; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 9289.33 (6), an affected municipality notified under
9289.22 (1m) may participate in the negotiation and arbitration process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. The name and location of the municipality is the City of Muskego located in Waukesha
County, Wisconsin with its principal offices being located at Muskego City Hall, W182
S8200 Racine Avenue, Muskego, Wisconsin 53150, (262) 679-4100.
As close as can be determined by the City of Muskego, the applicant for said site is
Waste Management of Wisconsin, Inc., 10712 South 124th Street, Franklin, Milwaukee
County, Wisconsin.

3. That a map of the expansion site as provided by Waste Management of Wisconsin, Inc.
is attached hereto, made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "1 "; the landfill expansion
site, based on representations made by Waste Management of Wisconsin, Inc., will be
situated on property owned or controlled by Waste Management of Wisconsin, Inc.
having the following legal description: All property owned or controlled by Waste
Management of Wisconsin, Inc. located in the N 1/2 of Section 31, the W 1/4 of Section
32 and the S 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 also of Section 32. The landfill expansion
may overlay onto the closed landfill located in the S 1/2 of Section 31.
The City of Muskego does intend to negotiate and, if necessary, arbitrate with the
applicant concerning the proposed facility.

5. The City of Muskego does hereby appoint the following one member to the local
committee. Following the name of the member is the address of said member:
