COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #047-2003
HONORING CITY OF MUSKEGO EAGLE SCOUT
MATTHEW R. SURPRENANT
WHEREAS, MATTHEW R. SURPRENANT, resident of the City of Muskego and a
senior at Muskego High School, earned the Eagle Scout Award on September 21, 2002
as a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 18; and
WHEREAS, This achievement is the result of years of service and dedication to the
Code of the Boy Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS, MATTHEW participated in scouting activities since 1991 where he earned
many awards and badges during that time and served his fellow scouts and the
community in a variety of leadership positions; and
WHEREAS, MATTHEW continues to be involved with the scouting program serving as
the Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 18; and
WHEREAS, MATTHEW spent many hours on his Eagle Scout project supervising 30
scouts to build five foot bridges for the nature trails at Wehr Nature Center at Whitnall
Park; and
WHEREAS, In addition to scouting, MATTHEW enjoys various extracurricular activities
including sports and music, and has also earned scholastic honors; and
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Muskego wishes to recognize the
achievements of MATTHEW SURPRENANT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby commend MATTHEW R. SURPRENANT for achieving the rank
of Eagle Scout and acknowledges and applauds the efforts required to reach scouting's
highest honor.
