RESOLUTION #265-2002
APPROVAL OF REVISED PAY GRADE
PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT
WHEREAS, In 1998 the Finance Committee recommended that the position description
of the Public Works Superintendent be revised to require the designation of PE/Civil
Engineer or equivalent; and
WHEREAS, The Common Council adopted Reso. #193-98 on October 13,1998
creating a revised pay grade of M8 for the new Public Works Superintendent position
with a biweekly salary range of $1,623.58 to $2,435.35; and
WHEREAS, The Common Council adopted Reso. #3-99 on January 12,1999
confirming the selection of the Public Works Superintendent without a designation of
PElCivil Engineer or equivalent at a biweekly wage of $1,765.64; and
WHEREAS, Prior to the change of the position description requiring the designation of
PElCivil Engineer or equivalent, the pay grade was M6; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that the record be clarified that
the designation of PElCivil Engineer or equivalent is not required; that the position
description state that a degree in civil engineering is preferred; and, change the pay
grade to M6.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve
the revised pay grade of M6 for the Public Works Superintendent position.
