RECOGNITION OF 28 YEARS OF SERVICE
JOHN J. DALEY - MUSKEG0 POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, John J. Daley, was employed as a police officer on September 1, 1974 shortly
after obtaining a BS degree from Western Illinois University and an AAS degree from Harper
College; and
WHEREAS, John graduated from WCTC Recruit Academy in November of 1974 and was
certified as a Police Officer in the State of Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, Officer Daley, after five years as a patrol officer was assigned as an investigator;
and
WHEREAS, Officer Daley was promoted to Sergeant on January 1, 1982, being assigned to
the Late Shift; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Daley was promoted to Lieutenant on June 24, 1985 and assigned as
the Commander of Operations Division; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Daley earned a Master's Degree from UWM in 1995; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Daley was promoted to Captain on May 23. 1998, assuming the
second highest rank within the Department; and
WHEREAS, Captain Daley was an integral part of the management team of the Department
and was instrumental in the Department receiving Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation;
and
WHEREAS, Captain Daley is a part time Police Science instructor at WCTC and has served as
President of the Wisconsin Chapter of the FBI National Academy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does
hereby recognize and appreciate the 28 years of dedicated service provided by John J. Daley
to the citizens of the community and wish him a happy and healthy retirement.
