RESOLUTION #29-2002
RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATE
IN DNR ACQUISITION OF THE HENDRICKSON PROPERTY
WHEREAS, The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has approached the City to
participate in a conservation land acquisition of the Hendrickson Property, S90 W13232
Boxhorn Drive; and
WHEREAS, Said property is located within the boundaries of the Big Muskego Lake Wildlife
Area, as supported in the 2010 Comprehensive Plan and the Conservation Plan; and
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego has established a land conservation fund for the acquisition
of properties throughout the City: and
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego has expressed interest in participating with the DNR in this
land acquisition and commits to pay a portion of the acquisition cost up to $135,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby agree to support and
participate in the DNR acquisition of the Hendrickson property on Boxhorn Drive and does
hereby authorize payment of up to $135,000 to the DNR upon acquisition of the property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That in the event the DNR does not maintain the property in a
manner consistent with the Big Muskego Lake Wildlife Area, any said change in use shall
require approval of the City of Muskego.
