RESOLUTION #19-2002
APPLICATION FOR LAKE MANAGEMENT PLANNING GRANT
WHEREAS, The Big Muskego LakelBass Bay is an important resource used by the public for
recreation and enjoyment of natural beauty; and
WHEREAS, A study and examination of the lake will lead to better understanding and will
promote the public health, comfort, convenience, necessity and public welfare; and
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego recognizes the need for responsible and holistic long-range
planning to better manage the lake, its watershed, and its use; and
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego is qualified to carry out the responsibilities of the planning
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego.
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby request funds and
assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources under the "Lake Management
Planning Grant" Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego hereby
authorizes the Mayor to act on behalf of the City to: submit an application to the State of
Wisconsin for financial aid for lake planning purposes; sign documents; and take necessary
action to undertake, direct, and complete an approved planning grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego will meet the
obligations of the planning project including timely publication of the results and will meet the
financial obligations under this grant.
