Purpose of Position
The purpose ofthis position is to inspect plumbing and sewer installations, and buildi: s for compliance with
applicable ordinances, regulations and codes, under the direction of thew Engineer F. Bulldlng . Inspection Director
and to oversee inspection and code enforcement, and coordinate and direct daily operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Draft correspondence to code violators to facilitate compliance. Issue violation notices and citations. Prepare

Purpose of Position
The purpose ofthis position is to assist in construction review, engineering design and management functions
erosion control and zoning ordinances, codes, standards and statutes and to provide technical suppon for Director of
EngineeringlBuilding Inspection. The work is performed under the direction of the EngineerindBuilding Inspection
Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following dulies are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
Inspects grading, road construction and stom sewer construction in the City.
Conduct field surveys with total station both topographic and construction stakes ofCity funded projects.
Draft with Autocad City municipal projects.
Review and advise approval of grading plans.
Enforces City erosion control ordinances and applicable Federal and State laws regarding pollution and pollution Of
water.
Prepare studies under guidance of Director of EngineerindBuilding Inspection of City's infrastructure when
required.
Provides information to the public regarding appropriate erosion and pollution control procedures.
Reviews Army Corps of Engineer and Depanment of Natural Resources erosion dredging and filling permits for
comment and enforcement.
Inspect City funded sewer and water extension projects
Design simpler infrastructure projects under the Dierctor of Engineerinfluilding Inspection direction.
Reviews plans for compliance with applicable City ordinances and standards.

Notifies contractors. trade persons and/or property owners regarding violations. Provides information to contractors,

Reviews construction plans for code compliance. Approves permits of issuance.
