RESOLUTION #150-2000
RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE
URBAN FORESTRY STRATEGIC PLAN AND
URBAN FORESTRY MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego received a-grant from the Wisconsin Department of
Natural Resources for the purpose of preparing an Urban Forestry Management Plan
and an Urban Forestry Strategic Plan; and
WHEREAS, The City retained Ranger Services, Inc. to prepare such plans in
coordination with the Urban Forestry Committee; and
WHEREAS, On March 28, 2000 the Urban Forestry Committee approved said Plans;
and
WHEREAS, On May 8, 2000 the Parks and Recreation Board approved said Plans and
on June 26,2000 the Public Works Committee recommended approval; and
WHEREAS, Many recommendations contained within the Plans fall within Plan
Commission purview and the Plan Commission has recommended approval to the
Common Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Plan Commission and Public Works
Committee does hereby adopt the Urban Forestry Strategic Plan and Urban Forestry
Management Plan.
