RESOLUTION #147-2000
RESOLUTION AS TO THE MATTER OF CITY OF MUSKEG0 LOGO
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego has reviewed a claim from Mr Wayne Peterson,
Wayne Wm. Peterson Studios Unlimited, in regard to the City of Muskego's logo
design; and
WHEREAS, Mr Peterson has claimed that he has not relinquished ownership of said
design and is asking for a remuneration; and
WHEREAS, said design was done for the City of Muskego's Chamber of Commerce in
1989 for no cost; and
WHEREAS, in 1994, the Chamber of Commerce gave the City of Muskego unlimited
use of said design to help promote the City of Muskego.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby approve the concept of settling this claim and does offer Mr
Wayne Peterson, Wayne Wm. Peterson Studios Unlimited, the sum of $1,500 for full
and nonrevocable rights to the City of Muskego logo without any admittance of any
misuse, subject to approval of final settlement documents by the City's copyright
attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer are authorized to
execute said document in name of the City.
