RESOLUTION TO CONTINUE PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, In 1996 the City entered into a Cooperation Agreement with Waukesha
County to participate in the Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG);
and

WHEREAS, Said Cooperation Agreement will automatically renew for the period
January 1,2001 through December 31, 2003 unless Waukesha County and HUD
receives written notification that the City has decided to terminate the Agreement and
end its participation; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has approved the City’s continued participation in
the Community Development Block Grant program for the period January 1, 2001
through December 31, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby choose to
continue to participate in the Community Development Block Grant program with
Waukesha County for the period January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2003.

And HOME Participation Agreement
Dear Mayor De Angelis:
The City of Muskego currently is a participating community in the Waukesha County
Community Development Block Grant Program for the period ending December 3 1,2000. The U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development requires Waukesha County to provide you with
notice of the automatic renewal of your Cooperation Agreement for the 2001 - 2003 program years.
You are hereby notified that your Cooperation Agreement which currently concludes on
December 3 1,2000 will be automatically renewed for the January 1,2000 -December 31,2003
period unless Waukesha County and HUD receive in writing a notice of your municipality's decision
to terminate the agreement and end your participation on or before Friday, May 26,2000.
Given the benefits that your community and all participating communities have available to it
under the CDBG program, we are confident that your municipality will continue in this program.
HUD has not mandated any new Cooperation Agreement provisions, so your Agreement will be
automatically renewed as you previously executed.
