0 SUPPORT OF WAUKESHA COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT WORKGROUP
RECOMMENDATION TO IMPLEMENT DEVELOPMENT REVIEW CHECKLISTS
WHEREAS, In July 1999 Waukesha County convened a Land Development
Workgroup to address issues created by current land division and development
processes, and
WHEREAS, The Land Development Workgroup was comprised of town, village, and
city officials a county board supervisor, representatives from the real estate
development industry, land use planners, engineers, conservation groups, and the
agricultural community, and
WHEREAS, The Workgroup prepared a Development Review Checklist to set forth
consistent minimum standards for the review of development proposals by local
municipalities, and
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego currently utilizes a checklist in its development
reviews, and encourages consistent methodologies for said reviews throughout
Waukesha County; and
WHEREAS, The Plan Commission through adoption of #P.C. 058-2000 supports the
recommendation of the Waukesha Land Development Workgroup to voluntarily
implement Development Review Checklists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council, upon the
recommendation of the Plan Commission, does hereby support the recommendation of
the Waukesha Land Development Workgroup to voluntarily implement Development
Review Checklists.
