SUPPORT OF BLUE CHIP GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS, The Waukesha County Economic Development Corporation has funds
available through the Waukesha County Blue Chip Incentive Grant Program to enhance
economic development planning efforts within local communities; and
WHEREAS, The City of Muskego has been a participant in the Blue Chip Grant
Program in the past having received funds for a number of projects, including the
Economic Development Strategic Plan and Muskego Fact Book; and
WHEREAS, The Director of Planning has completed an Application to request $3,100
to evaluate the existing Economic Development Strategic Plan adopted in 1993
and develop a year 2000 plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby support
the application to be filed with the Waukesha County Economic Development
Corporation for a Blue Chip Grant in the amount of $3,100 for the project referred to
above with the City providing matching funds in the amount of $2,200.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor is authorized to sign the application in
the name of the City.
