RESOLUTION AS TO BOARD OF REVIEW HOURS
WHEREAS, The Common Council adopted Resolution #261-96 in November of 1996
which designated the hours for the Board of Review's first meeting of its annual session
to be from 1:00 p.m. to 500 p.m., and
WHEREAS, Changes regarding Board of Review procedures were enacted by the
State legislature in 1997 and will take effect Januaty 1, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Section 70.47(3)(a), Wis. Stats., no longer specifies the hours within which
the Board of Review must initially meet; it only specifies that the Board must meet a
minimum of two hours at its first meeting; and
WHEREAS, It is the desire of the City Clerk-Treasurer and Assessor to annually review
and determine the hours the Board will meet to best suit the needs of all affected
parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby rescind the hours designated by adopted Resolution #261-96.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Board will be in session at least two hours at its
first meeting and the Clerk-Treasurer will properly notice said meeting in conformance
with state statutes.
