RESOLUTION #153-99
RESOLUTION TO RETAIN SPECIAL COUNSEL FOR REPRESENTATION
AT LIQUOR LICENSE SUSPENSION AND/OR REVOCATION HEARING
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has recommended a liquor license suspension
andlor revocation hearing be held before the Common Council as to Charles A.
Schweitzer Wagon Wheel Stable following information submitted to the Committee by
the Police Chief regarding recent violations at the establishment; and
WHEREAS, As the Complainant, the Police Chief cannot be represented by the City
Attorney as said attorney will be present to serve as representation for the Common
Council: and
WHEREAS, Since the Police Chief would be acting within the scope of his employment
in testifying at the hearing, the Finance Committee has recommended retaining
Attorney Tim Garrity to represent the Police Chief in this matter at the present rate of
$125 an hour
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby authorize
retaining Attorney Tim Garrity at the rate of $125 an hour as special counsel to
represent the Police Chief regarding the proposed suspension andlor revocation
Malt Beverages license held by Charles A. Schweitzer
hearing to be held regarding the Class "B Retailers' License for the Sale of Fermented
