CCR1999136COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEG0 RESOLUTION #I 36-99 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO RE-RETAIN SPECIAL COUNSEL AND REINITIATE PROCEEDINGS REGARDING THE CONTESTED CASE HEARING WHEREAS, The City of Muskego believes that Superior Emerald Park Landfill, Inc. has violated its contractual relationship with the City whereby the City agreed to take certain positions regarding the contested case hearing, known as Case IH-98-02; and WHEREAS, The City of Muskego retained special counsel, Godfrey & Kahn and Attorney Arthur Harrington of that firm, to represent the City; and WHEREAS, The City of Muskego wishes to re-retain the firm of Godrey & Kahn to investigate and potentially reinitiate proceedings regarding the contested case hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Mayor is authorized, on behalf of the City, to re-retain the firm of Godfrey & Kahn to investigate and potentially become further involved in proceedings concerning the contested case hearing and to take all steps the Mayor deems necessary to reinitiate those proceedings if in the best interest of the City.
