RESOLUTION AS TO TOWN OF VERNON
PETITION FOR INCORPORATION
WHEREAS, The Town of Vernon has petitioned to become incorporated as a
city; and
WHEREAS, there is pending a proceeding in Waukesha Circuit Court on the
subject of the petition for the Town of Vernon becoming a city, which is
scheduled for hearing at this time on June 15, 1999, at 9:00 am; and
WHEREAS, von Briesen, Purtell & Roper, S.C. has been authorized to protect the
interests of the City of Muskego in the litigation, but the City has taken no
position favoring or opposing the petition of the Town of Vernon;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that von Briesen, Purtell & Roper, S.C. is
authorized to monitor the litigation, but to take no position in favor of or opposing
the petition of the Town of Vernon at this time. von Briesen, Purtell & Roper, S.C.
is authorized to report back for further directions, if any, from the Common
Council.
