HONORING CITY OF MUSKEG0 EAGLE SCOUT
KURTIS R. HAMMITT
WHEREAS, KURTIS HAMMITT, resident of the City of Muskego, and a student at
Muskego High School, reached the highest Scout rank of Eagle on November 21.
1998; and
WHEREAS, This achievement came about as a result of years of service and
dedication to the Code of the Boy Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS, KURTIS served as Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader,
Troop Guide, Patrol Leader and Den Chief, and was elected to the Order of the Arrow;
and
WHEREAS, KURTIS spent many hours working on his Eagle Scout project building a
trail for Muskego High School clearing brush, laying gravel on the path and bordering it
with utility poles. Three ramps were constructed to access the creek running next to
the trail; and
WHEREAS, In addition to scouting, KURTIS also participates in sports, and enjoys
hunting and fishing; and
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Muskego wishes to recognize the
achievements of KURTIS HAMMITT
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby commend KURTIS R. HAMMITT for achieving the rank of Eagle
Scout and acknowledges and applauds the efforts required to reach scouting’s highest
rank.
