Authorizing Temporary Loan from General Fund
for the Purchase of a Fire Truck
Unappropriated Surplus to Muskego Volunteer Fire Company
WHEREAS, the Muskego Volunteer Fire Company wishes to purchase a
fire truck; and
WHEREAS, MFVC submitted this request in their 1995 Capital Budget
to the Capital Budget Committee and obtained approval in the
amount of $158,930; and
WHEREAS, in order to purchase the fire truck as presented to the
Capital Budget Committee, it is necessary to do so immediately as
this is a demo unit which cannot be held until 1995; and
WHEREAS, the total needed now of the $158,928 is $143,985 for
Custom Fire for the truck with options, with the balance of
Company in 1995.
$14,943 in equipment to be reimbursed to Muskego Volunteer Fire
WHEREAS, it is the City's intent to borrow the money in 1995 to
finance the appropriation in 1995, and
WHEREAS, it is the City's desire to provide a temporary,
non-interest bearing loan to Muskego Volunteer Fire Company in
the amount of $143,985 which will be repaid by a borrowing by the
City in 1995.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego does hereby agree to provide a temporary,
non-interest bearing loan to Muskego Volunteer Fire Company in
the amount of $143,985 with the temporary use of General Fund
Undesignated Equity until such time as the borrowed money is
received in 1995.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council does hereby commit
to approve this expenditure in the 1995 Capital Budget.
