RESOLUTION #276-93
RESOLUTION CLARIFYING THE SEWER ASSESSMENT POLICY
FOR ASSESSMENTS LEVIED PRIOR TO MARCH 26, 1991
WHEREAS, prior to March 26, 1991 there existed certain policies
for construction of sewer mains within the City; and
WHEREAS, said policies have been applied to sewer assessments
levied prior to March 26, 1991; and
WHEREAS, certain portions of said policies need to be clarified.
NOW, THEREFORE, said policies are clarified as follows:
1. As to controlled access sewer mains, in the event a
direct connection is ever made by lateral to the sewer
main for which no front foot sewer assessment has been
made, a charge will be made based on the equivalent
cost of installing a sewer main for a lot of
will be the front foot rate of the original project,
equivalent width; the front foot rate to be charged
plus accrued interest at the rate in the Final
Assessment Resolution of the original project unless
otherwise amended pursuant to said Final Assessment
Resolution.
2. As to deferred assessments not on a payment plan, the
City will accept partial payments in the minimum
amount of $5,000. The partial payment or payments
will be applied first to interest and then to
principal due on the date of the partial payment or
payments as of the date said payment or payments are
received.
