NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CITY'S HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM
AUTHORIZATION TO REIMBURSE CERTAIN EMPLOYEES WHO ELECT
WHEREAS, Resolution #309-92 adopted by the Common Council of the
City of Muskego on December 17, 1992 authorized payments in lieu
of health insurance coverage to those employees who qualify and
elect such payment; and
WHEREAS, members of the AFSCME units were provided like
contract with the City expired as of December 31, 1992 and were
insurance benefits according to contract provisions since their
not eligible for this reimbursement; and
WHEREAS, the AFSCME units and the City have now reached an
agreement and those employees may elect not to participate in
the City's Health Insurance program beginning January 1, 1993
and would be reimbursed as follows:
Employees Eligible for Family Plan Coverage
and Elect Payment in Lieu of Coverage $150/Month *
Employees Eligible for Family Plan Coverage
and Elect Single Coverage $100/Month *
Employees Eligible for Single Plan Coverage
and Elect Payment in Lieu of Coverage .$ 50/Month *
* Eligible Part-Time Employees May Obtain Reimbursement on a
Pro-Rata Basis
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, upon recommendation of the Finance Committee,
does hereby authorize the City Clerk to make payments in lieu of
health insurance coverage beginning January 1, 1993 to those
employees who qualify and elect such payment in the amounts
listed above, and are represented by the AFSCME units.
