RESOLUTION #6-93
CITY'S ENDORSEMENT OF PARENT-TO-PARENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Parent-To-Parent is sponsored by the Muskego-Norway
Student Assistance Program, and
WHEREAS, Parent-To-Parent is a locally presented workshop which
gives you, as a parent, the knowledge and skills necessary to
adulthood, and
help your child achieve a drug/alcohol free passage into
WHEREAS, In reality, America's fight against drugs and alcohol
is being won and lost daily in the homes of young people ... and
by their parents, and
WHEREAS, Parent-To-Parent is a dynamic, video based workshop to
help young people avoid drug and alcohol problems by training
their parents, and
WHEREAS, Parent-To-Parent produces the single most effective
weapon in the fight against drugs, an effectively trained
mother or father, and
WHEREAS, Parent-To-Parent consists of four mini-workshops
presented in two hour individual segments, and
WHEREAS, you will be taught specific skills which allow you to
develop fully into a responsible adult, and
be an effective parent yet provide latitude for your child to
WHEREAS, each session is led by a trained "facilitator" whose
single objective is to see that this experience is productive
and enjoyable, and
WHEREAS, this parent workshop is for people who care about kids
years old...the younger the better.
and is a must for parents of children younger than sixteen
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Muskego endorses the
Parent-To-Parent program and has reserved the Lions Den in the
lower level of City Hall for February 3, 10, 17 and 24 and
March 9, 16, 23 and 30.
