RESOLUTION AS TO COUNCIL SUPPORT FOR
MOORLAND ROAD EXTENSION 0
WHEREAS, Moorland Road Extension has been proposed on the
Waukesha County map; and
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego's Comprehensive Plan Study
Committee has determined the extension of Moorland Road to be a
priority road project; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has agreed with the Comprehensive
Plan Study Committee's recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the Waukesha County Executive has given the City of
Muskego the following timeframe for the Moorland Road Extension
Project :
1993 - Mapping of Moorland Road ($50,000 to be fully funded
1994 - Drawings and final plans
1995 - Tentative construction date; and
by Waukesha County)

WHEREAS, the project will be planned and designed for the
proposed 5 lanes and built as a 2-lane road; and
WHEREAS, the upgrade of CTH L where Moorland Road connects will
be addressed at the time of construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego does hereby support the plans and timeframe as
proposed by the County for the Moorland Road Extension Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County is requested to provide
possible.
the City of Muskego with the cost of this Project as early as

FACT SHEET ON EXTENSION OF MOORLAND ROAD
Proposed tentative construction date is 1995.
Planning stage and mapping scheduled for 1993.
Drawings .and final plans scheduled for 1994.
Primary reduction in project from five (5) lanes to
a two (2) lane rural County road.
Cost reduction from 1992 cost estimate of $6,000,000.
Actual amount to be determined at a future date.
Mapping and line drawings will be proposed as a 1993
project and will be fully funded by Waukesha County.
Federal monies in the City of Muskego's account as of
1992 is $622,134.
Estimated amount to be in the City of Muskego's account
in 1995 will be $723,861.
An 80/20 plan proposed to match when project is actually
funded not actually built.
Where Moorland Road connects into CTH L, the County will
upgrade CTH L.
