CCR1992138AMENDED COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEG0 RESOLUTION #138-92 APPROVAL OF POLICE SCHOOL LIAISON OFFICER PROGRAM r WHEREAS, the City of Muskego and the Muskego/Norway School District have agreed in principal that a Police School Liaison Officer Program be implemented within the District beginning with the 1992-1993 school year; and WHEREAS, the Program will be operational within the Bay Lane Middle School 1/3 time and the Muskego High School 2/3 time; and WHEREAS, the School Liaison Officer will be an existing Muskego Police Officer selected by a joint School/Police Administrative Committee; and WHEREAS, the actual salary and fringe benefits of the replacement Police Officer plus any negotiated bonus for School District paying 43.3% and adjusted annually to reflect juvenile work will be shared with the City paying 56.7% and the step increases, negotiated raises and benefit changes; and WHEREAS, the City and School District would enter into Section 66.30, Wisconsin Statutes, agreement regarding the funding arrangements; and 0 WHEREAS, the School District will furnish the School Liaison Officer with office space, furniture and some clerical support with the City providing recruitment cost, training, uniforms and pager costs estimated to total $1,250 for first the year and $800 thereafter; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve of the Police School Liaison Program for the 1992-1993 school year beginning in August 1992 with the City paying 56.7% of the salary and benefits of the replacement officer. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council recognizes that the School Liaison Officer will start in August 1992 and the beginning October 12, 1992, and that the Council is receptive to replacement Police Officer will need to attend recruit school this training being funded from the 1992 Contingency Account.
