DIRECT CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE
EXPANSION OF MUSKEG0 VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY BUILDING
OFFER TO PURCHASE LAND FOR
a
WHEREAS, a proposal was presented to the Architectural Control
map for the expansion of the Muskego Volunteer Fire Company
Steering Committee to purchase land as outlined on the attached
building located at 576 W17858 Janesville Road, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committtee has reviewed this proposal and
recommends the purchase of the land for $75,000.00 and screening
cost estimate of $12,600.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance
Committee, does hereby direct the City Attorney to prepare an
offer to purchase land for the expansion of the Muskego
Volunteer Fire Company building for $75,000.00 and screening
cost estimate of $12,600.00 with the following conditions:

Seller responsible for screening with trees on the
abutting properties within 6-10 months or the first
planting season;
Buyer responsible for elimination of the fire siren with
the sole exception for tornado warnings;
Buyer responsible for the architecture of the new fire
house to be consistent with the existing or proposed
surrounding homes of Giefer, Ingersoll, and Bay Breeze;
Buyer responsible for vacation of street and vacation of
plat and all associated costs;
Buyer responsible for conveyance of land to adjacent
property owners as determined by seller once plat is
vacated;
Accepted offer to purchase by October 10, 1991.
Buyer to have an agreement in place to identify an
Volunteer Fire Company in the event that the Fire Company
arrangement between the City of Muskego and Muskego
would disband.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds in the amount of $87,600.00
will be taken from the Capital Money Account.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby
authorized to sign any lega1,documents in the name of the City.

0 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City agrees to return a letter
of credit to JC Development which was issued for the
construction of Karah Court and execute the attached agreement
subject to review by the City Attorney.
