RESOLUTION #169-91
AUTHORIZE CITY ENGINEER AND CITY ATTORNEY
TO INITIATE PRELIMINARY RESOLUTION
(RCA Assessment -- Southeast Area of City)
WHEREAS, the City is developing a Sewer Service Facility Plan
for the Southeast area of the City, and
WHEREAS, the City has previously assessed the cost of
MMSD with area-wide assessments, and
interceptor sewers, lift stations and connection facilities to
WHEREAS, financial projections show the same sewer facilities
could be financed in the area with assessments at the same rate
as for the Northeast and Northwest sewer service areas, and
WHEREAS, the City has received a request for sewer service from
a substantial development in the Southeast area of the City, and
WHEREAS, the first step for providing sanitary sewer in this
area of the City is the adoption of a preliminary special
assessment resolution and the holding of a special assessment
hearing, and
WHEREAS, the City has acquired capacity in the MMSD system to
provide sewer service in the Southeast area of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Utilities
Committee, does hereby authorize the City Engineer to determine
Capacity Assessment (RCA) for the Southeast Area of the City
the area for the preliminary resolution for an area-wide Reserve
that can be served by the first designated lift station or
stations and that the engineer outline the most cost-effective
alternatives with the primary recommendation to be given on one
of the alternatives and City Attorney to initiate the
Assessment (RCA) for the Southeast area of the City that can be
Preliminary Resolution for an area-wide Reserve Capacity
served by the first designated lift station.
