RESOLUTION #86-91
RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF MUSKEGO AREA LAKES
PRIORITY LAKE DESIGNATION
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego, the Town of Norway, and the City
of New Berlin are interested in preserving and improving the
natural water resources within their communities for future
generations, because they are an important resource used by the
public for recreation and the enjoyment of natural beauty, and
WHEREAS, the Counties of Waukesha and Racine County are actively
involved in protecting the natural resources within their
geographic area, and
WHEREAS, the Wind Lake Management District, The Big Muskego
Rehabilitation and Protection District, the Little Lake
Protection and Rehabilitation District, and The Little Muskego
Lake Association are actively involved in carrying out programs
to insure the preservation and improvement of these important
resources, and
WHEREAS, these individual organizations are volunteers,
investing their time, talent, and own funds in past and current
programs, and
WHEREAS, it is time to pool all resources of all the individual
governmental bodies, and the individual organizations to work
together and implement the results of all the data.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego supports and joins all the concerned
governmental bodies, organizations, associations, and volunteers
Abatement Program, to include Little Muskego Lake, Big Muskego
in asking for funds under the Wisconsin Non-point pollution
Lake, Wind Lake, Lake Denoon and Linnie Lac as a Priority Lake
Project.
