BUILDING INSPECTION DEPARTMENT AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT
RESOLUTION TO DIVIDE PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT INTO
AND CONFIRM THE SELECTION OF DIRECTOR FOR EACH DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee interviewed candidates for the
position of Director of Planning & Development Department to select a
replacement for the retiring Director, and
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee has determined that the
department should be divided with a Director of Building Inspection
and a Director of Planning, and
WHEREAS, Chuck D. Dykstra, Sr., has been selected to fill the position
of Director of Building Inspection with Eugene N. Kovacs as Director
of Planning, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council is required to confirm such appointments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Mayor and the Public Safety
Committee, does hereby confirm the appointment of Chuck D. Dykstra,
Kovacs to the position of Director of Planning effective April 24,
Sr.,to the position of Director of Building Inspection and Eugene N.
1991.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 1991 salaries of these positions are
as follows:
Start 6 Months 18 Months
Director of Building
Inspection $27,250 $29,150 $30,900
Director of Planning 27,250 29,150 30,900
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this division of department will be
reviewed at the end of one year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the probationary period for the Director
of Building Inspection shall be continued until certification is
obtained in the Uniform Dwelling Code. Time off sick shall not be
paid during the first six months of the probationary period, and
termination during that period will result in no sick leave payout.
After successful completion of six months of employment, reimbursement
may be made for sick leave UD to the amount accrued from the date of
hike, or it may remain in the bank, at the employee's option. Time
off sick during the remaining probationary period shall be paid and
the sick leave bank reduced accordingly. Termination during that
:period will result in a sick leave payout for sick leave accrued back
to the original date of hire.
