TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF GRANTING OF SEWER MAIN
EXTENSIONS WITHIN THE MMSD SEWER SERVICE AREA
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego recently entered a sewer service
contract with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District
(MMSD) ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and conditions of said contract,
there is a limitation on the allowable base flow which can be
utilized by the City of Muskego up until the year 2005 and other
limitations on the City as to the use of said system; and
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego has experienced many recent
requests for the extension of sewer mains within the MMSD area;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego believes at this time that it is in
the best interests of the City and of its citizens to study
methods by which its allowable sewer main extensions pursuant to
the MMSD contract may be best utilized at the present time and
in the future; and
WHEREAS, the City of Muskego anticipates that it will take
approximately three months to determine whether or not a growth
management system is necessary to control the growth of the City
within the MMSD sewer service area in order to remain in
growth potential within said service area at this time and in
the future.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego does hereby temporarily suspend the granting of
sewer main extensions within the MMSD sewer service area for a
period of three months from the date of this Resolution unless a
further action of the Council is taken either extending or
within the area referred to above. shortening this suspension of granting sewer main extensions
