CCR1989208COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEG0 RESOLUTION #208-89 RESOLUTION DECLARING INTENT TO PARTICIPATE BY WAUKESHA COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY ANSWERING POINT AUTHORITIES IN A CONSOLIDATED DISPATCHING CENTER STUDY WHEREAS, the City of Muskego has determined that there is a need to study the feasibility of establishing a centralized public safety dispatching system in Waukesha County, and WHEREAS, "911" Universal Emergency Number Service is soon to be available to citizens of Waukesha County and thus such a study is timely, and WHEREAS, efficient, prompt and cost effective emergency response is vital to all communities, and WHEREAS, such a feasibility study requires the cooperative efforts of all communities that may be served by a consolidated dispatch system, and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended participation in the study. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby declare its present intent to participate and cooperate with other communities in a feasibility study of consolidated dispatch. 9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor will appoint a Said steering committee will be responsible for soliciting representative to a Consolidated Dispatch Steering Committee. proposals to perform a feasibility study and, further, will Muskego agrees in concept to pay a share equal to that of other select the qualified study consultant, and that the City of participating communities to fund the feasibility study only.
