CCR1989153COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEG0 RESOLUTION #153-89 PUBLIC FIRE PROTECTION FEES WHEREAS, the 1987 Wisconsin Act 339 creates sec. 196.03(3)(b), Stats., which creates a duty for the governing bodies of municipalities to make a specific decision if the municipality wishes to continue paying for water-related fire protection service costs, and WHEREAS, the Public Service Commission has found, in its investigation, that municipalities electing to continue receiving adopted a resolution to that effect, and the public fire protection charge must show evidence of having WHEREAS, this evidence should be filed with the Public Service Commission by December 31, 1989, or prior to the Water Utility's next rate case hearing, whichever is first, and WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Committee has recommended that the City and the Utility continue pay for water-related fire protection service costs. NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Utilities Committee, does hereby determine that the City and the Water Utility will continue to bill and pay for water-related fire been billed and paid for in the past until this body adopts a protection services in the same manner as these services have subsequent resolution changing the method of billing and paying for these services.
